    Wright Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fairborn, OH, is looking for a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to be apart of our team. We are 'Families serving Families,' and our nurses are a valued piece of that vision.


    This position is to work on a PART TIME basis, with the DAY or EVENING shifts available. Or the NIGHT shift working every other weekend.

    Complex Wound Care
    Designed for residents recovering from serious wound complications or wound related surgery, our Wound Care Program offers individualized wound care as well as comprehensive wound management. Some of our services may include: the development of a interdisciplinary care plan by a dedicated wound care physician that addresses nursing, dietary and rehabilitation treatment regimes; specialized mattresses along with post-surgical recovery. Our goals are to focus on the health of our residents, to prevent wound-related complications, and to provide effective quality wound care.


    Nutrition Services
    The dining experience is an important part of a resident's medical and social well-being. Therefore, meeting the nutritional needs of our residents with well-balanced meals and snacks is just one part of a resident's overall plan of care. Our team of nutrition professionals includes a Nutrition Services Supervisor who manages the foodservice operations and a Registered Dietitian who evaluates the nutrition needs of our residents. They work together to meet the goal of the Nutrition Services Department to prepare meals that taste great, as well as meet the special dietary needs of our residents.


    Outpatient Services
    Our outpatient services include physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Residents benefit from the collaborative effort of a team of highly skilled therapy clinicians. We treat a variety of resident conditions including, but not limited to orthopedic, neurological, degenerative and communication disorders. We provide free transportation to and from your appointments with our facility bus.


    Transitional Living Unit
    Wright Nursing and Rehabilitation Center now offers a Transitional Living Unit. This unit is an evaluation process for rehabilitation patients who are preparing for discharge from the facility. When our residents arrive they get "the full experience" of care offered by our nursing center.

    The Transitional Living Unit is a comfortable apartment-like setting within the existing facility, but is furnished complete with a small refrigerator, flat- screen television, as well as a non-hospital bed, private bathroom, and a personal table and chairs.

    Transitional Medicare residents are eligible for up to a three day stay. During this time, they will function with little assistance from staff. Our goal is to prepare each resident for a safe transition to their home.

    POSITION SUMMARY:  The primary purpose of this position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.




    • Maintain and use current, appropriate clinical knowledge of all required nursing policies and procedures.
    • Provide the clinical and support services needed to meet all physical and psycho-social needs of the residents and patients.

      Know and follow the law and company policy about promptly reporting accidents/incidents, injury, or suspected abuse.
    • Provide support and assistance with grooming, including shower as scheduled, oral care, hair care and nail care.
    • Provide patient and resident summary of condition at change of shift.
    • Proper use of techniques and equipment to ensure safe movement of patient/resident and prevent employee injury.
    • Notifies charge nurse/supervisor of significant changes in condition or concerns promptly including but not limited to: Resident incidents, safety concerns, skin changes, equipment malfunction, and resident health/status change.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Must possess, at a minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Must possess a State Tested Nurse Assistants (STNA) certification in accordance with State law.
    • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility or department which may include a medical and physical examination.
