Encinitas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is one of Covenant Care’s 53 locations and is located in Encinitas, CA.    We are seeking a Business Office Manager(BOM) who is responsible for assuring the Nursing Department's delivers quality direct patient care to meet the facility's clinical and operational objectives.

 

Our Business Office Manager is considered part of our Business Leadership Team.  This is unique to Covenant Care and is the core leadership that helps assure that all aspects of the facility are doing well.  

 

This role focuses primarily on leading and managing the Business Office to provide timely, accurate and complete billing, collections, and all other assigned business support operations, by accomplishing the specific business goals.

 KEY JOB FUNCTION:

  • Work with Executive Director and Director of Nursing to ensure timely and complete PASARR screening to establish person needs skilled care, no mental illness, etc.
  • Work with Corporate and Regional finance support staff to provide Executive Director with profitability analysis for existing and prospective HMO contracts..
  • Monthly close of Skiled Nursing Facility books in a manner that does not inhibit any billing or collection processes.
  • Accurately bill Medicare,Medicaid / CAL,Veteran's Administration, and hospice companies for all covered services provided.
  • Track payments of bills, speed up slow-pay customers, and manage resident trust accounts for accuracy, proper disbursement and security.
  • Obtain and complete financial information, from admissions packet within first 24 hours.
  • Effectively resolve pending cases for government payer coverage.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have, as a minimum 3 years experience in health care financial management or Office Management.
  • Must possess at a minimum, an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
  • Experience with Managed Medi-cal, TARS, HMO billing, appeals, private collections, monitoring aging, month end closing, Medicare and RFMS.
  • Partipated in the Triple Check process.
