    The Earn While You Learn Program provides candidates with an opportunity to build a career in the healthcare industry.

    • The Earn While You Learn Program is a 5 Week Training Course at one of the Covenant Care facilities in California.
    • At the end of the 5 Week Training Course, each candidate will take the CNA Licensure Exam.
    • After passing the CNA Licensure Exam, each candidate will be offered a Full-Time position at one of our facilities.

     

    Covenant Care will pay for the 5 Week Training Course and CNA License Exam.

    During the course of the Program, each candidate will be paid.


     

    POSITION SUMMARY:  The primary purpose of this position is to provide basic Resident care and medications to each of your assigned residents.

     


     

     KEY JOB FUNCTION:

    • Identifies residents before administering treatments, serving meals, etc., as necessary.

    • Reports all changes in the resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
    • Records all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative, descriptive manner.
    • Measures and records temperatures, pulses, and respirations (TPRs) of residents, as instructed.
    • Answers resident call promptly and checks residents routinely to ensure that their personal care needs are being met.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Must possess, at a minimum a High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
    • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as law, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
    • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
