    This ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT position is on a PART TIME basis.

    POSITION SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Activities Department. To assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident.

     


     

     KEY JOB FUNCTION:

    • Effectively provide activities that provide entertainment, exercise, fun or relaxation for residents and meet identified resident satisfaction goals.
    • Assists in planning, organizing and conducting resident specific and appropriate activities.
    • Maintains activities calendar as required by Activities Director or ED.
    • Effectively promotes resident participation in activities as required by Activities Director or ED.
    • Involve resident/family in planning activities, objectives and goals for the resident.
    • Arranges / transports patients and residents to and from activities.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Must have 2-5 years experience in an activities capacity in a skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility.
    • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
