    Los Altos Subacute and Rehab in Los Altos, CA is looking for a MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT to join our team!

    This position is to work on a FULL TIME basis.

    POSITION SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the grounds, facility, equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Executive Director and/or Maintenance Manager to assure that a successful program is maintained at all times.




    • Conduct daily check of all fire exits, clearing to maintain access and reporting any blockages discovered to supervisor.
    • Weekly inspect fire alarms, sprinklers and extinguishers to ensure proper working order. 
    • Effectively repair and perform all assigned routine maintenance of equipment, machinery, mechanical, HVAC, etc.
    • Participates in State and Local drills, surveys and follow up plans for corrections.
    • Monitor as assigned to ensure fire and disaster drills are timely completed.
    • Check fire and life safety equipment as assigned and immediately report any problems.
    • Promptly correct any identified fire and life safety deficiencies.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
    • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility or department which may include a medical and physical examination.
