    POSITION SUMMARY: The primary purpose for this position is to provide nutritional care which will result in the optimal health and nutritional status of the residents.




    • Evaluate the nutritional care of residents and document in the medical record.
    • Observes and assesses residents to monitor food acceptance and nutritional status.
    • Properly uses the Company formulary, recommends dietary interventions according to the status of the resident.
    • Manages the menu within the facility budget and evaluates changes to the facility’s menus for nutritional adequacy.
    • Evaluates and monitors the operations of  the Dietary Department to assure the provision of adequate, high quality food.
    • Participates in MDS, PPS and Walking Rounds for identified high risk residents.
    • Provides monthly reviews and documentation for residents with weight loss, receiving enteral nutrition, wound care and others considered at high risk.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
    • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
    • Must meet all license, certification, training or credentials as required by the State.

    Preferred Requirements

    • Experience as a Registered Dietitian in a health care setting preferred, but not required.
