    MARION HEALTH & REHABILTIATION in MARION, IN is looking for an experienced QUALIFIED MEDICATION AIDE (QMA) to be part of our team.  


    This position is to work on a FULL TIME basis.




    POSITION SUMMARY:  The primary purpose of this position is to provide basic Resident care and medications to each of your assigned residents.




    • Observes condition of Residents and reports changes timely to Charge Nurse.
    • Observes, takes appropriate action, and documents in response to verbal and non-verbal indicators of pain.
    • Appropriately refers assigned residents to the IDT (Interdisciplinary Team) and/or therapy when indicated.
    • Answers call lights; Provides care TO meets Residents needs in accordance within clinical scope of practice and care plans.
    • Provide adequate supervision working with/assisting CNA's to ensure needs of assigned residents are met.
    • Orders medications in a timely manner to facilitate timely administration and availability.
    • Reviews delivery invoices for accuracy, promptly stores (secures) medications and properly logs controlled substances.
    • Administers medications according to professional standards.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Must possess, at a minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with State law.
    • Must be Certified Medication Aide / Tech in accordance with State law.
    • Must be able to speak and write the English language in a understandable manner.

    • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility or department which may include a medical and physical examination.
